A Love Story: Alyssa + Michael (Married Almost Five Years)

Continuing with our Love Stories we want to introduce you to Alyssa + Michael. They are especially near and dear to us because Michael is the son of our very own Cindy and she was intimately involved in the wedding both for the wedding invitation suite and as mother of the groom.

How They Met

"We met at UConn where we both went to college. We were at a sorority formal that we did not go to together.  My future husband kept asking me to dance even though I was there with someone else.  We started dating two years later, and got engaged five years after we started dating."

The Proposal

"Mike proposed at our apartment in downtown Stamford, just the two of us. I was shocked because he planned a big dinner at Quattro Pazzi after with all of our family and friends."

The Wedding

"The wedding was June 25, 2016 at the Shore and Country Club in Connecticut, outside on the water, where Michael's parents also got married. It was a big wedding with 200 people, with lots of people from UConn making it a bit of a reunion."

"The wedding style was beachy. There were sand dollars in a big sand box for the place cards and I walked down the aisle to somewhere over the rainbow being played on a guitar."

The Best Wedding Day Memory

"Th best memory was definitely when I walked down the aisle and saw the look on Michael’s face. The other greatest part was when the photographers brought us out on the dock to look in to how many people were there to celebrate us." 

Five Years of Marriage
This June the couple will be married for five years.

"Even after five years we continue to be each other's best friend. And by far the best memories are welcoming our two girls into the world, Mila (2) and Isla (4 ½ months). We also love to travel around, visiting our close friends from college."
