Gazpacho - flavorful and colorful!

Gazpacho - flavorful and colorful!

Nothing says summer more than chilled gazpacho soup. Gazpacho is a cold raw vegetable soup that is originally from southern Spain. The main ingredients are tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic and olive oil.

Chef Caroline definitely has her own special twists in her preparation of this classic dish. With the purchase of any of our table top items featured here we will happily send you her recipe.

Garnish generously with heirloom cherry tomatoes in a blend of colors. I love the visual of the soup in our clear Italian gelato bowl. So so gorgeous! And pop the bowl on one of our Starburst plates. Wowzaa!

Don't be shy - use all of the tomato colors! Serving note: gazpacho should be served chilled, but not iced.

And add some tender small leaves of dark opal basil. It's a gorgeous visual. With the soup served as a first course, I love to put the stemmed bowl on top of our Starburst plates, hand painted in Italy.  This gives me so many happy summer feels.

I'll confess that I'm really not sure why National Gazpacho Day is December 6th since everything about gazpacho says summer to me.  oxo Shari
